NeuroCyber is led by an independent Board of Trustees who are responsible for ensuring the charity delivers public benefit, remains true to its charitable objectives and operates with integrity, transparency and good governance.
Our trustees bring together expertise from across cybersecurity, communications, business leadership and organisational development, alongside a shared commitment to creating a more inclusive cybersecurity profession.
Mike Spain - Chair
Mike founded NeuroCyber in 2018 after his son was diagnosed as autistic at the age of two. The experience prompted him to investigate the employment opportunities his son might expect, and he was not satisfied with what he found.
Believing there is enormous potential for neurodivergent people to thrive in cybersecurity and build rewarding careers, Mike established NeuroCyber to raise awareness, increase understanding and better align skills and aptitude with opportunity. The organisation continues to work every day to help make that happen.
While there are promising initiatives gaining momentum, Mike believes the challenge is to move from niche programmes to business as usual across the sector through collaboration, shared learning and a coordinated approach that creates equal opportunities for neurodivergent talent in cybersecurity.
Debbie Jones
Debbie is COO at PRPR, bringing more than 20 years of experience across cybersecurity PR, marketing communications, event strategy and technology-focused business development.
An experienced events specialist, she has a strong track record of creating and delivering engaging, inclusive events and webinars that bring people together, facilitate knowledge sharing and encourage critical thinking and meaningful dialogue.
Debbie also has a unique perspective from her 12 years as a police officer. This experience helped develop her analytical, investigative and decision-making skills and shaped her ability to work effectively in complex and fast-moving environments.
A passionate advocate for neurodiversity in cybersecurity, Debbie champions the value of different perspectives and thinking styles.
She is recognised for her collaborative, adaptable and purpose-driven approach, with a particular focus on creating opportunities for people to connect, contribute and thrive.
Allie Andrews
Allie is CEO of PRPR, a specialist communications consultancy focused on technology and cybersecurity. With more than two decades of experience working alongside the cybersecurity industry, she has helped organisations shape industry conversations, build trusted relationships and communicate ideas that drive meaningful change.
She holds an MSc in Computer Science, specialising in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and accessibility and has authored research exploring diversity, inclusion and accessibility within the cybersecurity profession. Her work brings together communications expertise, technical understanding and a strong interest in how technology and workplaces can be made more accessible and inclusive.
As a founding trustee of NeuroCyber, Allie is committed to ensuring that research, evidence and lived experience are at the heart of efforts to build a more inclusive and accessible profession.
Steph Aldridge
Steph has long been a driving force behind NeuroCyber’s work to improve pathways into cybersecurity for neurodivergent talent. She was instrumental in building and coordinating the UK’s first Neurodiversity: Autism into Cyber event.
While at Cyber Security Challenge UK, Steph served as Cyber Centurion & Diversity Lead, supporting Masterclasses and developing content for neurodiversity, CyberCenturion and ‘Women into Cyber’ events.
She was seconded to Bletchley Park in 2015 as a Curriculum Manager, where she built and delivered the UK’s first CyberEPQ, gaining City & Guilds Centre status. The certification now sits with CIISEC. Steph has also served on the judging panel for the ISC2 Global Inclusion Awards for the past two years and was recognised as ISC2’s Personality of Neurodiversity Month in 2025/26.
She is a consultant to CSE Connect, focusing on building its Regional Hub community and Impact Projects, particularly supporting students looking to build careers in cybersecurity.
Steph also convenes the International Cybersecurity Education Collaborative (ICEC), a UK-US network connecting cybersecurity educators and supporting international collaboration in cyber education.
Steph is a creative problem solver, a dynamic connector and a big-picture thinker, always keeping the end user in mind. She has a real passion for neurodiversity and for creating positive change within the cybersecurity industry. She firmly believes in the principle of ‘Nothing About Us, Without Us.’
