NeuroCyber is led by an independent Board of Trustees who are responsible for ensuring the charity delivers public benefit, remains true to its charitable objectives and operates with integrity, transparency and good governance.
Our trustees bring together expertise from across cybersecurity, communications, business leadership and organisational development, alongside a shared commitment to creating a more inclusive cybersecurity profession.
Mike Spain - Chair
Mike founded NeuroCyber in 2018 after his son was diagnosed as autistic at the age of two. The experience prompted him to investigate the employment opportunities his son might expect, and he was not satisfied with what he found. Believing there is enormous potential for neurodivergent people to thrive in cybersecurity and build rewarding careers, Mike established NeuroCyber to raise awareness, increase understanding and better align skills and aptitude with opportunity. The organisation continues to work every day to help make that happen.
While there are promising initiatives gaining momentum, Mike believes the challenge is to move from niche programmes to business as usual across the sector through collaboration, shared learning and a coordinated approach that creates equal opportunities for neurodivergent talent in cybersecurity.
Allie Andrews
Allie is CEO of PRPR, a specialist technology and cybersecurity communications consultancy. Having worked alongside the cybersecurity industry for more than two decades, she has helped organisations shape industry conversations, build trusted relationships and drive meaningful change.
Allie holds an MSc in Computer Science, specialising in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and accessibility, and has authored research reports on diversity and inclusion within the cybersecurity sector.
As a founding trustee of NeuroCyber CIO, she is passionate about improving opportunities for neurodivergent people and ensuring research, evidence and lived experience help shape a more inclusive profession.
Debbie Jones
Debbie is COO at PRPR, bringing more than 20 years of experience across cybersecurity PR, marketing communications, event strategy and technology-focused business development. She is known for creating engaging and inclusive environments that encourage knowledge sharing, critical thinking and meaningful dialogue through events and webinars.
Debbie also brings a unique perspective from her 12 years as a police officer, which strengthened her analytical, investigative and decision-making skills. A passionate advocate for neurodiversity in cyber, she champions the value of different thinking styles and is recognised for her collaborative, adaptable and purpose-driven approach.
