Who is NeuroCyber?
Creating equitable opportunities in cybersecurity
NeuroCyber CIO is a registered charity dedicated to improving opportunity for neurodivergent people studying, training and working in cybersecurity.
We believe the cybersecurity profession is stronger when it values different ways of thinking. Yet too many neurodivergent people continue to face unnecessary barriers to entering the profession, progressing in their careers and reaching their full potential.
Our purpose is to help remove those barriers. Working alongside employers, educators, researchers, policymakers and the wider cybersecurity community, we conduct research, develop practical resources, promote inclusive practices and advocate for lasting change. Our work is focused on creating a cybersecurity profession where neurodivergent people have equitable opportunities to learn, work and thrive.
Our mission
Our mission is to create equitable opportunities for neurodivergent people to study, work and thrive in cybersecurity.
We will achieve this by
-
Conducting and commissioning research that advances understanding of neurodiversity in cybersecurity.
-
Sharing practical guidance and resources that help organisations become more neuro-inclusive.
-
Advocating for equitable access to education, employment and career progression.
-
Bringing together employers, educators, researchers and the wider cybersecurity community to create meaningful, long-term change.
Everything we do supports our charitable objectives and is designed to deliver lasting public benefit.
Our vision
We want a future where neurodivergent people are recognised for their strengths, supported throughout their careers and empowered to make their full contribution to the cybersecurity profession.
We believe that creating more neuro-inclusive organisations benefits not only individuals, but also strengthens innovation, resilience and problem-solving across the sector.
